About James Chacho, PhD
James was born in 1967 into one of the founding families of the Christian movement in Kerala, India. Following the legacies of his great Uncle Late Apostle P.M. Samuel, and Uncle Late Apostle Dr. P.J. Titus, James began preaching at the age of 17. Subsequently, he spent 11 years in five Colleges and University both in India and Australia leading to multiple degrees in Theology and Philosophy. From 1993 to 2001 James served in various leadership positions including the Principal of COTR Theological Seminary, Visakhapatnam, India. James received his first ordination for ministry in 1993 from New Testament Church of India based in Andhra Pradesh, India. From 2001 to 2003 he served with Compassion for India, and pioneered an urban church called CityLight in the city of Chandigarh, India. In 2003 James founded the LifeBridge Ministries and serves as its President, with the primary vision of training frontline pastoral leaders and caring for the poor and needy through its multifaceted community transformation projects. Since 2005, he serves as the International Regional Director for Global Advance. Later in 2009, James pioneered a second growing urban church called LifeBridge Worship Centre in Chandigarh along with his family and serves as its Lead Pastor. At present he is under the ministerial credentials of Ministers Fellowship International. James went on to earn a Ph.D. through the Centre for Religious Studies at Punjabi University, India in 2012. With excellent communication skills and depth of knowledge and experience James travels widely around the world as a visiting faculty and guest speaker at colleges, churches and conferences. James has authored many academic and inspirational articles, contributed chapters in books and commentaries and has published several resources including the first ever Hindi Audio Bible. His Media Ministry Word4Life is aired weekly through Harvest TV. James and his wife Usha reside in Chandigarh, India with their two children, Dawn and David.
